| Sometimes a composer feels an impulsion to write a song—not for a particular reason, but because it needs to be written. That’s how “Because of You” was born. It was written out of the Composer’s deep love and respect for those who have sacrificed, and are sacrificing, their all to defend the liberties we all enjoy as Americans. The sacrifices they’ve made should never be forgotten. It was after the song was written that it was discovered by the producer of a documentary honoring the veterans who fought so nobly in World War II. “Because of You” became the theme song for the documentary, “Hidden Admiration.” It went on to be acclaimed at several film festivals. That must have been the reason the song was written—so it could honor and celebrate a passing generation of heroes. |
